Friday Favourites-Maternity Patterns

This week we're talking maternity wear. Personally I'm in the 'been there, done that (3 times), ain't going back' stage but I remember the struggle of finding clothes to fit that weren't frumpy. So, for those of you who are pregnant we have scoured the web to bring you our favourite maternity patterns that look great and feel comfortable.

Megan Neilsen has a fantastic collection of maternity patterns. The nursing top above is a great versatile basic addition to your wardrobe.

Loulou James has a range of great basic patterns for maternity such as skirts with stretch waistbands, nursing tops and this cute dolman sleeve dress above.
Check out the free tutorial for making a maternity band, a great little invention that lets you continue to wear your regular clothes for that little bit longer.

There are many DIY tutorials out there for altering the waistband on a regular pair of jeans. As an alternative to permanently altering your favourite jeans why not make your own?! The lack of fly zips, pockets and bulky waistbands make this great pattern from Style Arc quick and simple to sew.

We would love to see your maternity creations uploaded to our Projects page!
