Friday Favourites - Book week costume

It's 'Book Week' here in Australia and we have been watching fantastic costumes pop up on social media all week. There are so many characters to choose from, some seem more popular than others and some require a little explanation. The parade at school this morning was great fun for the kids and very entertaining for the parents! I particularly liked seeing the teachers dressed up, there were a lot of witches and Cruella's!

We thought we would share with you a few of our favourite costume tutorials we have found online. Book Week may be over here but Halloween is on its way!

Use up some scraps or recycle old clothes to make this cute owl costume. 'Alfa Mom' has a great step by step tutorial to show you how.

Can't sew? Make a costume from cardboard and paint! 'Create Celebrate Explore' shows us how to make a Mr. Bump costume, I imagine you could make all kinds of costumes in this way.
