Screen Printing Class Workshop

Yesterday we hosted our first screen printing class taught by Liz Doust. The studio we share with Ink & Spindle was the perfect setting of course!

Liz started off the class with the basics of screen printing, details of the equipment needed and how to set up at home. Then it was time to get creative and draw some designs with the help of some inspirational books from the studio bookshelf.

Once the designs were drawn they were then transferred to stencil paper and cut out.

Listen for the ziiiiiiip!

It was an exciting and nerve racking moment as everyone printed for the first time. After that they couldn't get enough and new designs were drawn and printed.

Throughout the class Liz gave advice and many tips for setting up and printing at home.

I think we could have all kept going for a few hours more! Everyone went home inspired (including myself).
