Winter Knitting

This week we have had a constant drizzle of rain here in Melbourne. We are finally having some autumn weather and I'm loving it! Even though I've lived in Australia for ten years now I still haven't quite acclimatised to the hot hot summers. I love chilly weather, wearing layers and being indoors. Really, there's nothing better than cosying up on the couch with some knitting while the rain patters on the window, and I've been doing just that!

I'm currently knitting up Lila by Carrie Bostick Hoge whilst watching lots of TV series such as Luther and Six Feet Under with my husband. It's quick and easy TV knitting, lots of stocking stitch with only a little bit of shaping.

I'm knitting it up in Aslan Trends Royal Alpaca in Royal Red. I love this yarn! It's so soft and delicious, I can't wait to wear it. I had originally started knitting the Betty cardigan with this yarn but frogged it after a hiatus. I realised it really wasn't something I'd wear often and I had completely forgotten where I was up to in the pattern anyway!

I've knit up to the bust and am now starting on the sleeves. I'm not the fastest knitter in the world so the sleeves may take at least another TV series, hmm what should we watch next?
