Here is my finished Carnaby Cape! The wool is pretty heavy so it's not as drapey as my original cape (which you can see below) but it is very warm.
I love the colour and the way it has speckles through it. It has been a huge pain to photograph though, getting a consistent colour throughout my photos has been impossible.
I do love those bound openings at the waist! They look so beautiful and aren't as difficult to sew as you'd imagine.
I finished off the cape with these beautiful gold vintage buttons from Buttonmania, Kate always helps make the right decision.
Here is my original cape which I wear all the time! As you can see the fabric is lighter and has more drape to it than the maroon version above.
