  • "A great hands-on learning experience that was really focused on getting you started at home. Nichola provided really excellent, practical advice, including a shortlist of what you'll need to get started printing at home and where to get it. Keeping the class to only 4 participants meant that everyone got all the help they needed. Would totally recommend this!"

  • "Not only did I get a gorgeous dress after finishing this class, I also have new found confidence in my sewing. Nichola is a wonderful teacher, very knowledgeable and patient, taking time to show you little tricks and tips. I have made another dress and other items of clothing since completing this class only two weeks ago, simply because I now have the confidence to give things a go. I highly recommend this class!"

  • Thanks for adding value to our students learning with the weaving workshops. Our students loved it. Many students have made their own looms and are weaving at home. They loved the choice of yarns; textures and colours and the therapeutic nature of weaving. It was a fantastic experience.

  • Had a fabulous time with Nicola from Handmaker's Factory doing botanical printing and candle making. She was so incredibly helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable. It was great to learn new skills in a friendly and encouraging environment! The candles I made are good enough to sell and I will never look at leaves the same way again

  • The class was interesting. I had no experience, the teacher makes it easy for me to understand every details and she was patiently answering to all our questions. I can say I am 100% confident to make soap and shampoo. She also give us websites to buy equipment and ingredients and that we can call her if we needed help in the future. *soap making*

  • Nichola was amazing! She showed us all the techniques and help us make our special pots, dish, and cups. She was also telling us where we can get all the equipment for pottery so we know where to go if we want to take it further. I had so much fun with my girls for my Hens and Nichola made the day very special. It was 3 hrs workshop but time flies because we were so into it! *Intro to ceramics*

  • This class was run at a good, leisurely pace. Nichola was an excellent teacher giving us good instruction on the various techniques but also letting us do our own experimenting. There were ample supplies provided plus we could use our own items. I thoroughly recommend it. *Indigo Shibori*

  • Such a fun & informative class! Gorgeously creative & welcoming space. Everything we needed for the class was provided. The teacher (Stef) was lovely - very knowledgeable & helpful. Stef was great at explaining the overall screen printing process to us, then breaking down each step & explaining the techniques and the use of the tools. Each person could work at their own pace & Stef helped each of us to walk away from the class with our own stencils & designs printed onto calico to keep. I had brought along a canvas tote bag to print on (once Id gotten a hang of the techniques) - so satisfying having a usable item with my artwork on it ready to rock out & I have several designs on calico I can also make use of. Highly recommended this class & I feel I can confidently recommend any other class held by the wonderful people at the Handmaker’s Factory. Looking forward to booking again soon! Thanks so much! *Learn to Screen Print in a Day*
